The Center’s mission is to help advance a culture of peace through education.
A culture of peace is a set of values, modes of behavior and ways of life that reflects respect for life and for human dignity, rejects violence in all its forms, prevents violent conflicts by tackling their root causes, and recognizes the importance of cooperation, tolerance and dialogue.
WOMEN AND GENDER INSTITUTE
The WOMEN AND GENDER INSTITUTE (WAGÎ) is Miriam College’s center for research, training and advocacy on women’s rights, gender equality and non-sexist learning in support of the leadership of young women and students. It offers a cross-disciplinal perspective on women’s empowerment that is interlinked with democracy, human rights, social justice and value formation. WAGÎ forges links with other sectors, organizations and institutions at the national, regional and international levels.

CENTER FOR APPLIED MUSIC
Miriam College Music Center instills in its students a lifelong appreciation for the arts.It offers programs for the development of their God-given talents in the arts.It contributes to the development of the whole human person by refining the affective faculties and effecting discipline.
GROWTH, UPGRADING and RESOURCE OFFICE
G.U.R.O. is a teacher-training center offering professional development programs to the Miriam College faculty and to external groups and individuals. It aims to bring the resources of Miriam College to the service of public and private schools as well as local government and low-income partner communities as part of the institution’s response to the needs of Philippine education.
